Hi!

I’m Annika but I go by the name AnniDear here in the different nooks of the internet.

I’m a self-taught artist who studied blacksmithing and building restoration.

I have been drawing and creating since I was able to hold a crayon. As a child I always admired the incredible creations people had made in cartoons, movies and video games with a hope that one day I could make something just as amazing. That’s why the art that I make now is fulfilling the dreams that I had as a kid.

Most of my work is inspired by my vivid, strange dreams and nature as I see it in my imagination.

Lately my oil paintings have been more abstract with the focus on the colors and textures while still having a shared water theme.

My watercolor works are fantasy illustrations that I simply adore. I love creating these worlds and characters you can find in my paintings.

The Origin Story

AnniDear is something that was created when I started streaming games in 2018 and when I also got back to my art hobby. Doing live art streams really sparked back my confidence in my skills and made me want to improve even more.

I stopped streaming in 2020 but the art journey continued and took over most of my free time.

Starting out with watercolors to knitting my own patterns into experiments with oil painting I have kept my creative mind busy.
